Privacy Policy
Effective: 20 May 2026 · Last updated: 14 July 2026
1. Introduction
Trade Epoxy ("we", "us", or "our") is operated by Trade Epoxy, registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our website and calculators (the "Service").
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in accordance with applicable laws, including the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection (PDPL), the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles, the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) / California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) where applicable.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide voluntarily
When you submit feedback through our in-app feedback widget, we collect:
- Your email address (optional)
- Your feedback message
- The type of feedback (improvement suggestion or calculator request)
- The calculator you are referencing (if applicable)
2.2 Automatically collected information
We automatically collect limited technical information when you use the Service, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URLs, and pages visited. Some of this is collected through Google Analytics (see Section 5.3) and Microsoft Clarity (see Section 5.4). Microsoft Clarity additionally records how you interact with pages — such as mouse movements, clicks, scrolls, taps, and navigation — to build aggregated heatmaps and session replays that help us understand and improve the Service. Text you type into forms and fields is masked and is not captured in these recordings. This information is used solely for operating and improving the Service, and only with your consent where required (see Section 6).
2.3 Calculator inputs
Calculator inputs you enter (such as floor area, material quantities, or costs) are processed entirely in your browser. We do not transmit or store calculator inputs on our servers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to feedback and improve the Service
- Understand how the Service is used and identify areas for improvement
- Maintain the security and operation of the Service
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Legitimate interests — operating and improving the Service, responding to feedback, and maintaining security
- Consent — where you voluntarily submit feedback including your email address
- Legal obligation — where processing is required to comply with applicable law
5. Third-Party Services
5.1 Web3Forms
Feedback submitted through our widget is processed by Web3Forms (web3forms.com). When you submit feedback, your data (message, email address, feedback type, and referenced calculator) is transmitted to Web3Forms' servers and forwarded to our email inbox. Web3Forms is subject to its own privacy policy and data processing terms.
5.2 Local storage
Feedback submissions may also be stored in your browser's local storage to allow you to review submissions locally. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted elsewhere by Trade Epoxy.
5.3 Hosting and analytics
The Service is hosted by Cloudflare Pages, a third-party infrastructure and content-delivery provider. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web-analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the Service so we can improve it. GA4 collects information such as the pages you visit, time on page, approximate geographic location (derived from your IP address), device and browser type, and on-page interactions. This data is processed by Google on our behalf and used only in aggregate; we do not use Google Analytics for advertising, remarketing, or cross-site tracking. GA4 sets first-party cookies (see Section 6). For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy). You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites using Google's browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
5.4 Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity, a product-analytics and session-replay service provided by Microsoft Corporation, to understand how visitors use the Service through aggregated heatmaps and recordings of on-page behaviour (mouse movements, clicks, scrolls, and navigation). Clarity masks text and form-field content by default, so information you type into the Service is not captured in these recordings. Clarity collects usage data together with device, browser, and approximate location information (derived from your IP address), and sets cookies (see Section 6). This data is processed by Microsoft; Microsoft's handling of it is described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement (privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement). We do not use Clarity for advertising or to identify individual visitors. Both Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity load only after you consent to analytics cookies (see Section 6).
6. Cookies and Your Choices
We use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes: (1) cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of the Service (for example, remembering your theme preference) — these are always active and do not require consent; and (2) analytics and session-replay cookies, set by Google Analytics 4 (such as _ga and _ga_*) and Microsoft Clarity (such as _clck, _clsk, and Microsoft's MUID), which help us measure traffic and understand how the Service is used.
When you first visit the Service, we ask for your consent before setting any analytics or session-replay cookies. These cookies are not loaded unless you accept them, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences control on the Service. Declining these cookies will not affect your ability to use the calculators. The analytics and session-replay cookies do not identify you personally to us and are not used for profiling, advertising pixels, or targeted advertising. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics on all websites using Google's opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
7. Data Retention
Feedback data received via Web3Forms is retained in our email inbox for as long as necessary to address the feedback and improve the Service. Data stored in your browser's local storage persists until you clear it manually or clear your browser data.
We do not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
8. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United Arab Emirates and the United States, where third-party service providers such as Google and Microsoft operate. Where required by applicable law, we take steps to ensure that such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — request that inaccurate data be corrected
- Deletion — request that your data be deleted ("right to be forgotten")
- Restriction — request that we restrict processing of your data
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (where applicable)
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdrawal of consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw that consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint — complain to the relevant supervisory authority in your jurisdiction
These rights apply to users in the EEA, UK, Australia, UAE, California, and other jurisdictions with applicable privacy laws. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the details in Section 12 below.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for use by adults and business professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Where required by law, we will provide more prominent notice of material changes.
